Information Technology is one of the fastest growing fields, and its importance in the future is only going to increase. As connections spread across the world, knowing how to deal with information technology will become more and more important. Ranging from mobile phones to robotics, having a thorough grounding in information technology will provide a huge boost to the careers of those who study it.

Due to the high level of importance given to technology in Germany, the universities are at the forefront of information technology education. A large number of courses are provided, ranging from three-month long summer courses, to full-fledged Graduate degrees, Master’s Degrees and Postgraduate programs.

All these courses are highly subsidised by the German Government, making them very affordable for the average Indian students. As a matter of fact, most courses are completely free, that is, there are no tuition costs. The main costs that students must bear are housing and food. Those can be further reduced by getting a part-time job during education. If students work for the companies there, they can gain experience and lower their living expenses.

Getting a Master’s degree in IT does not mean that the training is limited to computers and technology. Other courses that are integrated into a Master’s in IT include Software Development, Market and Competition, Business Processes, Financial Accounting, Business Law and Computer Science.

In order to help you choose a good course and a good university for yourself, we have provided a list of the available colleges and their requirements as well as a few tips. Ask yourself the following questions -

Why pick this specific course? What does it offer you?

How are you going to travel there and attend?

Have you completed all the requirements?
