In the Energy Technology master’s program, you will learn about the natural and engineering sciences and concepts of energy conversion, storage and distribution. This leads you to a well-founded specialist knowledge in the fields of energy conversion and application. They deal with the potentials and profitability of various energy sources (fossil fuels, nuclear energy, solar energy, wind energy, hydropower and biomass) and their integration into the energy system.
After your studies, you will be able to analyze and evaluate plant and usage concepts for renewable and conventional energy technology from an energetic and economic point of view, and plan and carry out analytical and model studies.

The two specialization subjects to be chosen represent two main areas of study. A specialization subject is to be selected from group 1. The second specialization subject can be chosen from group 1 or 2.

You will find your workplace in globally active companies, medium-sized companies or in engineering offices. You will also take on interesting tasks in the consulting industry, in the public sector, in the field of plant approval and monitoring as well as in development aid organizations.
