DCU has extensive teaching and research facilities, including television and sound studios, computer laboratories and networking facilities, language and interpreting laboratories, a video-conferencing suite, and print and graphical laboratories. These are in addition to modern research and teaching laboratories in the areas of physics, chemistry, biology and engineering
There is an InterFaith Centre located on the campus, a crèche, a medical centre, a Counselling Service, and a Disability Service.
Other social facilities include The Venue (Student Arts Theatre, aka omega capacity a Ticketmaster outlet, a "Digital Café", club and society meeting and seminar rooms, two Starbucks, one at the main restaurant (the first in Ireland) and one in the Sports Building, three pool rooms and a "Glass Room" for band practice.
There is also a campus company, Dublin City University Language Services, and a VHI Swiftcare Clinic, which closed in 2011.
Retail facilities include six restaurants and two bars, a Spar shop, pharmacy,Barber, Student's Union Shop, Bank of Ireland, Xerox reprographic centre, Hodges Figgis bookshop, and a beauty salon in the sports centre
