  • Mannheim Master in Management

  • Students of the Mannheim Master in Management can organize their studies individually and flexibly according to their ideas . Here, either the broad Event Properties from the Areas Accounting and Taxation, Banking, Finance and Insurance, Information Systems, Management, Marketing and Sales and Operations Management available.

    The compulsory subjects Corporate Social Responsibility, Decision Analysis, Applied Econometrics or Empirical Methods as well as Business Economics I and II round off the MMM. In addition, you can assign an elective, which has views over the BWL-Tellerrand allowed (eg Asia competence, Business Education, People's Economic teaching or psychology ).

    In the English track , you can choose from the purely English-language range of events. If you are studying in the German-English track , you can also take German courses. 

     

  • Career prospects

    The professional opportunities for master’s students depend on which area of ​​business administration you specialize in and whether you acquire additional qualifications in an elective. This results in a wide range of qualification profiles .

    Precisely because of their specific focus our graduates are in diverse areas of the economy  in high demand - that is a ranking of the economic weekly . A professional activity is possible, for example, as a consultant, product manager, financial expert, HR business partner, manager of personnel marketing, business analyst, cost engineer, sales manager or supply chain manager.

    Many also dare to take the step into  self-employment : Amorelie, Stocard and CoffeeCircle, for example, prove the  success of Mannheim founders .

    There continues to be a subsequent promotion one also has the option, scientific L -orbit to pursue.

    Stay abroad
    The Faculty of Business Administration has 200 partner universities worldwide . In the Mannheim Master in Management, a semester abroad in the third or fourth semester is possible, but not compulsory. Together with the International Office , the Dean's Office for Business Administration will be  happy to help you organize a stay abroad.

    In addition, our master’s students have the opportunity, depending on their focus, to obtain a double degree in cooperation with one of seven outstanding universities worldwide:

    • Università Bocconi, Italy: Focus on Accounting and Finance
    • Copenhagen Business School, Denmark: focus on information systems
    • ESSEC Business School, France: General Management
    • National Chengchi University, Taiwan: Major in Management and Asian Studies
    • Norwegian School of Economics, Norway: Choice of one of seven majors available
    • Queen's University in Kingston, Canada: Major in International Business
    • University of South Carolina in Columbia, USA: Major in International Management and Political Science

    An application for this is only possible after successful enrollment in the master’s degree.

    Internships
    An internship is not compulsory for the Mannheim Master in Management, but it is recommended. If you would like to do a voluntary internship, you can find information and vacancies on the faculty's website .

     
  • The Mannheim Master in Management entitles you to a doctorate in the field of business administration. At the University of Mannheim you have the following options : 

  • Successful master's graduates can do a doctorate at one of the chairs for business administration .
  • You also have the opportunity to take part in a PhD program at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business at the Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences (GESS)  .

  • Applicant must have a bachelor degree.

Application Process


  • University of Mannheim invites admission applications in the Fall and Spring Semesters. Applications for Bachelor programs are invited in the Fall semester only. With the student enrollment of around 12, 054 students out of which 3,759 are undergraduate students, it has an international student body of 18.6% higher than the national average.

    The university offers more than 60 undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Business, Social Science, Economics, Humanities, Law and Business Information.

    Applicants must demonstrate German Language Proficiency as except 8 Master’s Programs all programs(Bachelor’s and Master’s) have Medium of Instruction as German.

  • Aptitude Test is required by undergraduate students.
  • The University of Mannheim does not charge an application fee.
  • Applicants have to apply through the University Portal. It does not collaborate with uni-assist.
  • GMAT/GRE Score is required for certain Master’s Programs. Master in Data Science requires 500 on GMAT
