IIMs, the conducting body of Common Admission Test (CAT) are most likely to release the application form of CAT 2017 from first week of August. CAT 2017 application form will be available only in online mode. Documents to keep handy before applying for CAT 2017

Before approaching to completing the application form of CAT 2017, candidates must keep the following documents prepared:

• Mark sheets of Class X, Class XII, Bachelor's Degree and or higher education
• Applicable certificates to upload
• Scanned pictures of passport size photo and signatures. The photograph should not be over six months old and should have a white background.

How to fill CAT Application Form 2017

The CAT 2017 application form filling methodology is divided into three stages. We should make a look at the steps in details.

Step 1 – Registration

The first step to CAT application process is to register at the official site in order to produce the login credentials. For this, you need to first visit the CAT 2017 site and follow the guidelines given below:

• Click on the Tab that shows 'Register Now'
• Fill in the form with personal details like Name, Date of Birth, Email Address; Mobile Number in the fields gave. Make sure that you enter correct details, particularly the contact details with the goal that you don't face any problem in receiving information from IIMs in regards to the test. To avoid entering incorrect data, follow the given instructions while filling the fields on CAT 2017 registration form or application from:

• Your name must be the same as that appearing in 10^th Standard or SSC Certificate. If there is change of name because of marriage or whatever other reason, you need to submit valid document like court affidavits or marriage certificate

• Mobile number – The mobile number must be valid and unique as the password will be sent through SMS at this number itself. The number should be India based and of 10 digits. Other mobile numbers should be prefixed with area code. Special characters, for example, "0" or "+" are not permitted.
• Enter the Captcha or retype the special characters shown on screen to check and confirm your registration.

You will get your CAT 2017 login credentials through Email and SMS. Your CAT Serial Number or USER ID will be sent to you to the USER ID given by you and the password will be sent as an SMS to your registered mobile number. Select the 'I Agree' checkbox to ensure successful submission of the registration form.

Step 2: Login to CAT Website

By utilizing the system generated User ID and Password, applicants can login as "Existing User" on the site and fill CAT application form 2017. In case applicants forget their password, they need to click on ‘Forgot Password' tab on the ‘Existing User' login window and new password will be sent to their registered email id.

Step 3 – Filling up CAT Application Form 2017        

After getting the login credentials, the next step of filling up the application form of CAT 2017 starts. The process to fill up CAT 2017 application form is as per the following:

• Visit the CAT 2017 official website
• Tap on the tab 'Existing User'
• Login by entering the given credentials

CAT 2017 Application Fee Payment

The application fee can be paid in online mode only, through Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking modes. It is compulsory to click on the box corresponding to the statement 'I have seen the Application Form by clicking on the Preview Application Button and confirm that all the information reflecting in the Preview are right", and "I Agree" in the Declaration area before you click the Submit and Pay button and continue to the payment gateway. Application Confirmation Email

After payment of application fee, applicants will get an application confirmation email at the registered email id. The email will also contain data about communication and CAT admit card 2017 details.

Candidates may also see the application summary or download the application form, however, it can't be altered unless the CAT authorities enable application correction window.
