  • Graduate Certificate Project Management – Information Technology 

  • In this eight-month graduate certificate program, you will learn about the advances in project management taking place in the Information Technology (IT) industry. This program teaches an understanding of when to apply methodologies in the IT industry, including when each methodology is appropriate to use. This program will also refine your project management skills by providing an enhanced awareness of IT projects, programs and policies in two consecutive semesters. This program offers an optional work term for students to gain practical experience in the IT sector prior to graduation.

    Optional Work Term

    Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term(s) in a formal work environment. The work term(s) is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Entry Requirement

  • Applicant must hold a recognized degree or postsecondary diploma from an accredited institution in electronics, software development or IT administration; or
  • Applicant must hold a recognized degree or postsecondary diploma from an accredited institution in Business or Liberal Arts with related 
  • Applicant must be high school passed.

      • Graduate Certificate in Game Art and Animation if an applicant provides a partial postsecondary education degree
  • ESSAY:
    • A written English essay for applicants enrolling in Graduate Certificate in Database Application Developer is required
  • CV:
    • Resume is required for:
      • Advanced Diploma in Animation, focusing on any professional or volunteer positions that demonstrate creative or artistic talents
      • Graduate Certificate in Database Application Developer
      • Graduate Certificate in Energy Management - Built Environment
      • Graduate Certificate in Project Management - Environmental
      • Graduate Certificate in Project Management - Information Technology with a recognized degree or postsecondary diploma from an accredited institution in Business or Liberal Arts
      • Graduate Certificate in Applied Electronics Design if an applicant provides an equivalent combination of partial post-secondary 
      • Graduate Certificate in Game Art and Animation if an applicant provides a partial postsecondary education degree
      • Graduate Certificate in Documentary and Non-Fiction Media Production need to provide a resume and a cover letter
