  • Students learn the fundamental design and product development concepts necessary to enhance your understanding of electronic product design and develop practical skills implementing those concepts
  • Program courses will deepen the understanding of both analog and digital engineering principles as applied in modern electronics-based product engineering
  • Students use industry-standard software and hardware tools while learning current industry design methodology
  • Graduates design, develop and implement IoT: from specialized ASIC's and FPGA's, through custom embedded controllers with fine-tuned signal processing, circuit board and mechanical packaging, to the touch-screen web interface on a mobile device

Entry Requirement

  • Applicants must hold Ontario university or college degree or three-year college diploma or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or electronics-related discipline
  • Applicants with an equivalent combination of partial post-secondary and/or significant relevant work experience may be considered
  • To be considered for admission, credential or work experience must include:
    • AC/DC circuits and familiarity with semiconductors
    • Use of typical electronics lab instrumentation and tools
    • IT basics, including operating system and networking concepts
    • Fundamentals of digital logic design (VHDL or Verilog)
    • C programming with some exposure to microcontroller programming
