AIM OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

TASKS OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

  • To provide students with a set of theoretical knowledge and skills in selected language, cultural and intercultural communication issues, as well as in other fields that, upon graduation, will allow them to compete successfully and to adapt to the work environment as quickly as possible and to successfully integrate into Latvian, European Union or other national administrations. institutions. 
  • To prepare students for further studies in doctoral programs in Latvia (including Ventspils University College and Liepāja University joint interdisciplinary doctoral program “Linguistics”) and abroad, providing them with in-depth skills in research work provided with the acquisition of research methods courses. 
  • To promote the competitiveness of graduates in the international labor market.
  • To ensure the quality of studies on the basis of Latvia's external quality assurance system and the internal quality assurance system of Ventspils University College, improving the methodological, scientific and material technical provision of the study process and promoting cooperation with other Latvian and foreign higher education institutions. 
  • To provide students with the knowledge and skills acquired by analyzing different problem situations, case studies and solving practical tasks; 
  • to improve students' ability to constantly develop their level of academic knowledge. 
  • Timely transform the content and teaching methods of the program in response to changes in the international labor market, as well as correctly predicting future changes.
