  • Increasing consumption of resources, climate change, the steady loss of biodiversity, opportunity and income inequalities, and unhealthy working conditions - companies face these and many other challenges while simultaneously attempting to secure their long-term economic future. Catching-up processes in developing and emerging countries and a steadily growing world population are intensifying the urgent need for a sustainable economic system. The bachelor’s study program provides a high-quality education in business administration that is oriented towards the demands of a sustainable economic system and different interests. The curriculum includes basic principles of economics as well as topics from the social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. Aside from a methodological and business administrative foundation, you will learn about the economic framework conditions necessary for the sustainable management of a company. Furthermore, you will have an opportunity to further your knowledge in ecological, normative, and technical fields of sustainability.

    Like every other bachelor’s degree program at TU Berlin, applicants must possess a university entrance qualification certificate to apply to the Sustainable Management program. Generally, the Abitur serves as the university entrance qualification certificate. If you do not have a formal university entrance qualification, you may still be able to study at TU Berlin if you can provide proof of certain professional qualifications.

    The Sustainable Management bachelor’s program is taught in German. If you are applying with a foreign school-leaving certificate, you must provide proof of German skills at a specific level.

    As some courses/modules are offered in English, it is useful to have English skills. However, it is not a condition for admission for studies.

    As this study program is significantly made up of content from math and statistics, you should have basic knowledge of these areas. If you have taken these subjects as part of your Abitur, you will have an easier transition to this degree program, but they are not a formal requirement for admission.
