  • The Center for Stroke Research Berlin (CSB) aims to improve conditions for the translation of findings from basic research into clinical research and clinical practice in the area of stroke. With the Master of Science in Cerebrovascular Medicine, the CSB is closing an important gap: The lack of experts who combine core competencies both types of research.
  • The program thus trains future experts at the interface of bench and bedside. Students will gain in depth knowledge of the neurobiological bases of cerebrovascular diseases and they will understand the principles of laboratory experiments and modeling. Furthermore, the program provides a concise and comprehensive overview of the state of the art diagnosis, treatment, therapy and rehabilitation of stroke patients. This knowledge is complemented by epidemiological aspects, enabling students to conceptualize, conduct and analyze large scale clinical trials. To complete the profile, students are trained in effective project management and can demonstrate their achievements in the Master thesis.

Entry Requirement

Admission requirements are:

  • A university degree (min. Bachelor's - 240 ECTS credit points) in medicine, vetinary medicine, pharmacology, epidemiology, public health, nursing science, or the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics or relating)
  • 1 year of professional experience
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level)
  • Applicant must have a bachelor degree.
