PhD in Biochemistry

  • The Program provides extensive training in biomedical and basic research with seminars and maximum time available for research in the laboratory
  • It is a learning scientific research in biochemistry and molecular biology
  • Each student is supervised by a teacher or experienced researcher who welcomes his laboratory and guides him in his research project

Application Process

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the fall 2020 session will be conducted mainly online and remotely.

  • International applicants have to fulfill some additional requirements along with the general requirements which are usually the same as the requirements for the applicants belonging to the United States.
  • Official transcripts of all the previously attended educational institutions.
  • Transcripts must be translated into English or French.
  • Students will be required to prove their proficiency in the French language.

English Proficiency Test Score

The courses at UQAM are offered in the French language. Foreign students are required to prove their proficiency in the French language. The minimum requirements for various French-language proficiency tests for admission in different undergraduate courses are given below. If the applicants have less than the given scores then their application will be straightaway rejected.
