The candidate holds a bachelor's degree in science, applied science or health sciences, or a diploma deemed equivalent.
Average
The candidate has achieved a program pathway or graduation average equal to or greater than 3 out of 4.33, or the equivalent, at the undergraduate level.
The candidate whose average is between 2.67 and 3 out of 4.33 can also apply. However, admission is not automatic (see Preparatory schooling below).
Preparatory schooling
Candidates with an average of between 2.67 and 3 will be required to complete a preparatory schooling session and will only be allowed to continue their master's program if they have obtained a grade above B for each of the compulsory courses. .
The holder of a bachelor's degree in a field other than biology will be required to take a number of courses directly related to the field.
Research Director
Before applying for admission, the candidate must contact one of the professors of the program. The program director can only admit a candidate if a professor has agreed to supervise his research work.
Language requirements
Teaching at Laval University is done in French. Fluency in written and spoken French is therefore essential.
Although knowledge of French and English is not an admission requirement, successful completion of this study program is linked to the student's ability to read and understand texts in French and English. . Students who do not have sufficient command of these languages could experience difficulties in their studies. The student must ensure that he has a good understanding of French and English and, if necessary, take measures to develop his language skills during the training (for example at the School of Languages of the University Laval ). In the event of significant deficiencies, the program management can impose corrective measures.
