  • Interested in a wide range of academic disciplines? The Arts & Science program gives you wide-open options for completing a two-year diploma. Design your own curriculum and explore a range of subject areas to increase your knowledge in everything from literature to microbiology, all while earning credits towards your designation of choice.

    The Diploma in Arts and Science requirements allow for considerable flexibility in the choice of courses that a student may complete.  Students can design their curriculum to meet their own needs or interests or to meet the requirements for further study.  In addition to the general Arts and Science Diploma, Langara College offers Arts and Science Diplomas with the following concentrations

  • A minimum of 60 credits including:

  • Six credits of first-year, university-transferable English.
  • Thirty-nine credits of university-transferable courses that have science, social science, or humanities attributes (See Note 1).

  • The Diploma in Arts and Science requirements allow for considerable flexibility in the choice of courses that a student may complete.  Students can design their curriculum to meet their own needs or interests or to meet the requirements for further study.  In addition to the general Arts and Science Diploma, Langara College offers Arts and Science Diplomas with the following concentrations:

  • Fifteen credits of any courses eligible to be used towards a Langara College credential (See Note 2).
  • a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

    Domestic Applicants: BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent) or 19 years of age or older
    International Applicants: BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent)

  • Admission to a program at Langara College does not guarantee registration in required courses.
  • Students interested in the program are strongly encouraged to check individual course prerequisites and submit relevant documents to Registrar & Enrolment Services well in advance of the registration period.
  • Students admitted to this program may need to take one or more additional English courses in order to meet the prerequisite requirements of the English courses required in this program.
