Eligibility Criteria to Study in Australia

English Language Proficiency:

Like most of the Counties, if you want to Study in Australia, You will be asked to take an English Language Proficiency Test to prove that you can listen, read, write and speak English enough to understand what is being taught to you, as most Universities in Australia are English Spoken.

Academic Requirements:

Schooling:

Entry requirements will change for school to school. However, there might be requirement for English proficiency and some academic performance requirements.

UG Programs:

Australian equivalent to Class 12 is required to get into UG programs in colleges and Universities in Australia. In some cases, institutions can ask for pre-requisite subjects.

PG Programs:

At least one undergraduate degree from a recognised institute from anywhere in the world is required. In some cases, colleges and Universities will ask for work experience.

VET (Vocational Education and Training):

No entrance examination or criteria required for most of the VET programs to Study in Australia.

Bridge Courses:

Mostly offered for duration of a year, bridge or Foundation courses in Australia are intensive courses that are required to meet admission standards for the particular college or University in Australia.

Student Visa in Australia Requirements:

  1. Proof of Acceptance that you have accepted by a college / university in Australia

  2. Genuine Temporary Entrant: written proof that you intend to leave once your studies are over.

  3. English Language Proficiency. (IELTS / TOEFL / PTE)

  4. Financial independency: Proof that you have enough funds to pay for your flights, tuition fees and living expenses.

  5. Health Requirements and OSHC: Basic medical Exam and a mandatory Overseas Student Health Cover from listed providers.

  6. Character Requirements: You will be asked some questions on your application for your character assessment and you might be asked to provide police certificate.

Each of the criterion holds its own importance when it comes to the admission process or getting a study permit in Australia. Make sure you have all the necessities fulfilled and you are all prepared to apply.
