The M.B.A. is master’s degree of management or business administration. The full form of M.B.A. is known as Masters of Business Administration. This degree began in the United States in beginning of the 20th century. This is thoroughly a professional degree and the various accreditation bodies provide MBA programme to ensure the consistency and quality of the education. The various institutions, universities, colleges, etc are running this degree around the world offering into the different field i.e. Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Mass Media, Accounting, Operations, and International Business etc. The programmes offered under this degree are given in the various modes that are full time, part time, executive and distance learning programmes.

MBA

The MBA is an internationally recognized and geographically flexible post graduate, post experience academic course in a number of subjects that together can be known to constitute the science of management. It is all about understanding the each and every aspect of business dynamics. An MBA is about learning that how to work with people, because it is people who run businesses.

ADMISSION CRITERIA:-

This programme is based on various admission criteria like entrance exam score e.g. CAT (The Commnon Admission Test), academic transcript, work experience, recommendation letter, personal interview, group discussion, volunteer work etc. Some business schools and universities are following their own entrance test format and criteria related to the admission in such a programme. Some business schools donot give weightage to the entrance exam but they consider the other factors like work experience, community work, international student ratio etc.

Career Prospects:-

The light is being thrown on the career prospective of the various aspects and specialization of the MBA. There are major five specializations in which the students are pursuing their careers i.e. Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Information Technology and International Business. Now based on the specializations, the following conclusions can be derived which are noted as follows.

MBA (Banking and Finance): The average salary for the entry level position in this sector varies from 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs per annum. Once, the candidate spends considerable time into the industry that is 10 years and more the candidate can draw the salary up to 15 to 25 lakhs per annum, which is again depending upon the various geographical locations

MBA (Marketing Management):- The average salary for the entry level position in this sector varies from 1.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs per annum. Once, the candidate spends considerable time into the industry or company that is 10 years and more the candidate can draw the salary up to 25 to 30 lakhs per annum, which is again depending upon the various geographical locations.

MBA (Human Resource Management):- The average salary for the entry level position in this sector varies from 1.5 lakhs to 2 lakhs per annum. Once, the candidate spends considerable time into the industry that is 10 years and more the candidate can draw the salary up to 10 to 20 lakhs per annum, which is again depending upon the various geographical locations.

MBA (Information Technology):- The average salary for the entry level position in this sector varies from 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs per annum. Once, the candidate spends considerable time into the industry that is 10 years and more the candidate can draw the salary up to 15 to 20 lakhs per annum, which is again depending upon the various geographical locations.

MBA (International Business):- The average salary for the entry level position in this sector varies from 2.5 lakhs to 4 lakhs per annum. Once, the candidate spends considerable time into the industry that is 10 years and more the candidate can draw the salary up to 10 to 20 lakhs per annum, which is again depending upon the various geographical locations.

Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarships

The University will offer Adelaide Undergraduate Scholarships in 2018 to all South Australian students who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit by obtaining an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), formerly known as the Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 99.95 (with no bonuses). These Scholarships will provide an allowance of $12,000 to assist with education/living costs for the first year of a student's undergraduate program at the University of Adelaide.

Scholarships will be offered to all students who:

  • are Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia
  • qualify for their year 12 certificate (South Australian Certificate of Education, International Baccalaureate or Steiner curriculum) at a South Australian School in 2016 or 2017
  • have applied through SATAC for admission to a Commonwealth Supported Place in an undergraduate Bachelor's degree program at the University of Adelaide in 2018 and are eligible to receive an offer of a place in that program
  • are commencing post secondary studies for the first time in 2018
  • obtain an ATAR of 99.95, exclusive of all bonus points

No formal application is necessary; the University will contact all eligible students.

The award of this Scholarship is subject to the student's admission to an undergraduate Bachelors program and confirmation of full time enrolment at each of the census dates (31 March and 31 August). Scholarships must be taken up in the year that they are offered.

The scholarship will be payable in two equal instalments of $6,000 per semester subject to recipients being enrolled on a full time basis at each of the census dates and maintaining satisfactory academic progress in their studies. Students must obtain a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 at the end of each semester, or be deemed to be making satisfactory progress by their Faculty in order to receive each scholarship payment.

Rolling Scholarship Scheme To encourage students perform better, EBS offers rolling scholarships worth Rs. 50,000 to the top 5% students of the class. The Rolling Scholarships is awarded on Trimester Grade Point Average as Tuition Fee waiver for the ensuing Trimester, subject to minimum 3.0 TGPA and 80% attendance. Bright Scholar Fee Waiver Scholarships upto Rs. 50,000 is awarded to students based on their entrance examination results. Duration of Reward / Grant:

Scholarships are tenable for 1.5 to 2 years full-time or 3 to 4 years part-time study. To retain a scholarship, the holder must maintain a continuous enrollment during their degree from the semester for which they sought entry. A continuous enrollment requires four units of study per semester for full-time candidates or two units of study per semester for part-time candidates.

Business School Degrees, which includes the Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Eligibility:

The Scholarship is available to new students who will commence their first semester of study with the Business School in one of the eligible Masters programs involving 10 to 16 units of study. The scholarship is open to full-time international and full-time or part-time domestic students. Only those applicants who have received an offer of admission for one of the eligible Masters programs in the Business School for the subsequent semester are eligible to apply. Only those applicants who have received an offer of admission for one of the eligible Masters programs in the Business School for the subsequent semester are eligible to apply. Current students who have completed study toward their degree and students receiving an offer of admission for a combined Masters program are not eligible to apply.

The Scholarship is competitive, by application and awarded on merit to the most outstanding applicant assessed against the following four selection criteria:-
