Our Fine Arts BA (Hons) course offers an exciting path to investigate, participate in, and contribute ideas to, the field of contemporary art.
A combination of practical and theoretical classes is used to explore unique artistic abilities, whilst reinforcing creative skills development via critical and analytical insight.
This Fine Art course emphasises the relationship between thinking and making, where cognitive skills are intrinsic to studio-based practice across a range of artistic practices. These range from drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, moving image, installation, and photography to performance practices.
There is a strong focus on the connections between art, culture, and politics – including their relationship with the public sphere, sustainability, environmental aesthetics, and identity in a global community. This enables the development of a variety of transferable skills that can be applied in a whole range of contemporary contexts.
