As a nurse, you meet clients of different ages and in different life situations. At the heart of your work is the promotion of the health, well-being and functioning of individuals, families, communities and populations.

  • You are customer-oriented and identify your customers' support needs. You know how to support individuals and families in a targeted way, and you act consistently even in challenging situations.
  • You motivate your customers, make decisions based on researched information together with them, and refer you for additional help if necessary.
  • The degree in nursing also gives you the qualification to work as a nurse (Bachelor of Science) in Finland and elsewhere in the European Union.
  • Nurses work e.g. child health clinics, school health care, occupational health care or the elderly. You can also work as a health care expert in various work groups and development projects.
