  • Master of Science in Economics

  • This master's program in economics aims to provide research training oriented primarily on economic policy issues. The program thus emphasizes as much on the knowledge of existing economic theories and contemporary debates as on the concrete application of this knowledge to certain particular fields. Although the general master's program does not provide for any formal concentration, the student may, depending on the choice of course, focus on the following fields of interest: public economy, work and distribution, stabilization and growth, development and international economics, history of economic thinking.

Entry Requirement


  • Applicants must hold a B. Sc. Specialty (economics) or a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in economics  or equivalent degree with an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or equivalent
  • Applicant must have a bachelor degree.

Application Process


  • Admission to the fall and winter terms.

    The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in economics or hold a bachelor's degree by cumulating programs including at least one certificate in economics (or the equivalent) obtained with a cumulative average of at least 3 , 2 of 4.3 or equivalent. Any application with an average lower than 3.2 but higher than 2.8 out of 4.3 will be studied by the admission and evaluation subcommittee of the program and could, in certain cases, be the subject of '' a recommendation for admission;
    or
    have the required knowledge, appropriate training and experience deemed relevant.

    The program's SCAE will determine whether the economics courses previously taken by the candidate meet the expectations of the program. Otherwise, the admitted candidate will be required to follow and pass a refresher course before the first registration for the master's degree.
