  • BA in Computing Science

  • The University of Alberta offers a BA in Computing Science for a duration of 4 years.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis only.
  • This program builds foundational knowledge in Python and Java to prepare students for further study in other programming languages.
  • The major component of Computing Science program are:
    • Software Engineering
    • Operating Systems
    • Computer organization and architecture

  • This major is taken as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree. Computing Science can also be taken as part of a Bachelor of Science degree.

  • Augustana also offers a modified semester system called The Augustana Calendar.

Entry Requirement

  • Applicants must have a minimum overall average of 70% in Grade 11 and Grade 12 across all five required courses
