    With NAIT's Bachelor or Business Administration (BBA), your classes will have a business focus from day 1.

    Because many professional associations require a degree before they will grant a designation, a business degree is a great way to further your career potential. Earn a general BBA by completing core courses and your choice of electives or declare an emphasis in the following subjects:

  • Management is fundamental to any business. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Management emphasis equips students who want to lead in business, industry, government and not-for-profit sectors. Students in the Management degree emphasis are prepared for leadership roles where they can make a difference by advising on key business practices like revenue streams, resourcing and strategic planning. You'll be challenged through simulated business cases, sound reasoning, analytical thinking, and inductive thinking to make decisions moving organizations forward towards greater success. Much of the instruction in this emphasis is centered on real-world cases, and you'll be given opportunities to work directly with industry. All management-related courses have prerequisites, so it is important to carefully plan the order your studies.

  • Hands-on, industry-relevant skills

    You'll be challenged through simulated business cases, sound reasoning, analytical thinking, and inductive thinking to make decisions moving organizations forward towards greater success. Much of the instruction in this concentration is centred on real-world cases, and you'll be given opportunities to work directly with industry.

    In the BBA with a Management concentration program, you’ll develop knowledge and skills for:

  • human resource and performance management
  • project and operations management
  • marketing and supply chain management
  • change management
  • public administration

  • Students taking the BBA with Management concentration complete:

  • 10 common first-year courses (required by students in all NAIT business programs)
  • 10 required management courses

  • All management-related courses have prerequisites, so it is important to carefully plan the order of your studies.

    Program schedule

    Our course delivery is flexible, allowing you to take your classes in the daytime, evening or online to suit your schedule. We also have transfer credit and prior learning assessments for those who have done prior post-secondary or other formal training experience.

    You can expect to spend on average:

  • 20 hours per week attending classes over the course of a semester.
  • 20 hours per week studying and completing class assignments.

  • Applicants must have successfully cleared year 1 of business administration

    Admission Requirements

  • Complete the online application.
  • Receive a mail containing your NAIT Student ID Number.
  • Submit original proof of education documents such as transcripts, certifications from high school/senior secondary and postsecondary/university, if available.
  • Check your myNAIT Portal for weekly updates.

  • Students must place all their necessary documents in an envelope along with their NAIT ID number and their full name. Send the envelope via courier to the address given below:-

    English Language Proficiency Requirements

    Since the official language of instruction at NAIT is English, all non-native English speaker candidates must prove their English Proficiency as per NAIT’s requirements. There are two ways to fulfill the English proficiency requirements:-

  • Previous Academic Study – Students must submit their official transcripts reflecting their previous academic studies in English along with the admission application. Students belonging to English Language Proficiency Exempt Countries are not required to submit any documents.
  • ESL Examination – Students who are unable to provide necessary transcripts as proof of English Language Proficiency must take the ESL examination as the formal assessment. The exam scores will remain valid for two years after the test date.

  • Immigration & Visa Requirements

    International candidates wishing to study in Canada for more than six months must obtain a Study Permit. In order to apply, students must have the following documents:-

  • A complete application form
  • An acceptance letter from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).
  • A copy of a valid passport
  • Financial Documents as proof of the student’s ability to afford all the necessary expenses such as tuition fee, living expenses and transportation costs.

  • At Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), the applications are reviewed by the selection committee and shortlisted candidates are generally contacted within 1-3 weeks for the interview after the deadline is over. Candidates selected for the interview process are contacted via phone for a personal interview with the hiring panel. Only the successful candidates are contacted by the admission authorities.
