Entry Requirement


  • Applicants must hold a bachelor degree B.Sc. in mathematics, B.Sc. in mathematics and computer science, in mathematics and physics, in mathematics and economics, B.Sc. with a major in mathematics or equivalent qualification with a GPA of an average of at least 3.2 out of 4.3 or equivalent
  • Applicant must have a bachelor degree.

Application Process


  • UdeM Montréal, together with its affiliated schools, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal, forms the first higher education center in Quebec.     Some of the salient features regarding admissions at University of Montreal have been listed below:

  • The university charges an application fee of CAD 102.50 for undergraduate and graduate applications.
  • It is mainly a French speaking university but also offers programs in English. Thus, students may be asked to provide French language proficiency test scores.
  • Deadlines for admissions differ and are dependent upon whether applicants are applying to undergraduate and graduate programs. Those for domestic students are differ from international deadlines.
  • The University will refuse any screenshots, photographs or prints of an unofficial document.
  • Supporting documents along with applications can be submitted after 10 days of submission of the application form.
  • International students also require Quebec Acceptance Certificate along with the visa in order to study in the province Quebec in Canada.
  • Undergraduate applicants are accepted only in the fall and winter intakes whereas graduate applicants are accepted in fall, winter as well as summer.
