  • Bachelor In Law

  • The program aims to provide basic general training in law as well as preparatory learning for graduate studies, specialized studies and diversified professional practices. More specifically, the program aims to train a lawyer:

  • who has knowledge of the fundamental elements specific to the various fields of law;
  • who has developed an integrated approach to legal problems and their solutions;
  • who masters the skills specific to the legal method, in particular: proceeding to the legal qualification of concrete situations; locate, consult and update documentation; master oral and written argued speech;
  • who is autonomous and able to adapt to changes and become an agent of his own continuing legal education;
  • who is able to identify the relationships between law and society and to integrate them into the process of legal conflict resolution;
  • which adopts a critical approach which takes into account the plurality of conceptual approaches in law and on the law;
  • who is aware of his social, intellectual and professional responsibilities, respects an ethic compatible with them and is aware of extrajudicial methods of conflict resolution.

Application Process


  • UdeM Montréal, together with its affiliated schools, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal, forms the first higher education center in Quebec. Canada offers a number of undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields including administration and management sciences, architecture and design and computer science among others. For the undergraduate programs, the university also offers a majors, minors and certificate programs.

    Currently, it has about 67,400 students and 600 study programs. The Institute hosts 10,000 international learners coming from around the world to study in Canada. More than 2,600 lecturers and 500 associate professors educate the students.

    Some of the salient features regarding admissions at University of Montreal have been listed below:

  • The university charges an application fee of CAD 102.50 for undergraduate and graduate applications.
  • It is mainly a French speaking university but also offers programs in English. Thus, students may be asked to provide French language proficiency test scores.
  • Deadlines for admissions differ and are dependent upon whether applicants are applying to undergraduate and graduate programs. Those for domestic students are differ from international deadlines.
  • The University will refuse any screenshots, photographs or prints of an unofficial document.
  • Supporting documents along with applications can be submitted after 10 days of submission of the application form.
  • International students also require Quebec Acceptance Certificate along with the visa in order to study in the province Quebec in Canada.
  • Undergraduate applicants are accepted only in the fall and winter intakes whereas graduate applicants are accepted in fall, winter as well as summer.
