  • McGill University’s Faculty of Dentistry offers Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which is a 4 years program. During the program students spend most of their time in clinical oral and maxillofacial surgery.

    The clinical program provides training in all the following areas of the specialty:


    • Dentoalveolar Surgery
    • Maxillofacial Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction
    • Maxillofacial Trauma
    • Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology
    • Orthognathic Surgery / Obstructive Sleep Apnea
    • Outpatient Sedation
    • Pediatric OMS and Cleft/Craniofacial Surgery
    • Preprosthetic Surgery/Implantology
    • Temporo-Mandibular Joint Disorders and Surgery

Entry Requirement

  • The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects Candidates must possess a DDS or DMD degree or the equivalent 
  • Applicant must be high school passed.
