Civil engineering technologists are the minds that build society’s infrastructure, including roads, urban subdivisions and storm-water systems.
In our TAC nationally-accredited Civil Engineering Technology program, we’ll help you turn your strong mathematical and science skills into the creative yet logical mind of a civil engineering technologist.
Starting with a comprehensive introduction to engineering fundamentals in your first year and developing a practical understanding of engineering design in your second, you’ll become familiar with the latest tools and software in use throughout the industry, including computer-assisted drafting (CAD), architectural engineering and construction (AEC), and geographic information systems (GIS).
Of course, it won’t all be theory and classroom lectures. You’ll use industry-standard computer applications to complete your projects and you’ll even have opportunities to interact with today’s engineering technology professionals. Applied research opportunities will bring your knowledge and hands-on experience together through projects that take you into the field, using data from real sites to develop your personal portfolio

Lethbridge College is the first publicly funded community college in Canada offering Bachelor’s, Certificate and Diploma degree in Applied Arts and Sciences, Technology, Trade, Health and Wellness and Human Services.
