    WORK EXPERIENCE

    In addition to a full semester placement - where you will be mentored by an HR professional, and engage in activities and projects that allow you to learn by doing - you will:

  • evaluate job content and conduct a salary survey to develop a compensation plan

    As a Human Resources grad, there are plenty of career directions in the field for you to consider, such as:

  • You will typically begin your career as a human resources assistant, working as a generalist or in one of the areas of specialization. As most enterprises require human resources services, you could be employed by a wide variety of organizations, ranging from financial services and manufacturing to government and education.

    RELATED PROGRAMS

    The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) has approved courses in nine HR specialization areas, which may be credited toward the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. Students who wish to pursue their CHRP designation must successfully pass the Comprehensive Knowledge Exam (CKE1) and the Law Exam. Eligibility criteria to write the exams includes attaining an overall minimum average of 70 percent in the nine identified courses, with no mark less than 65 percent. The courses creditable for the exam include: Human Resources Administration; Finance and Accounting; Occupational Health and Safety; Recruitment and Selection; Industrial Relations; Organizational Theory, Structure and Design; Compensation Administration; Human Resources Planning; and Training and Development. In addition to the aforementioned, a self-directed, online work readiness program offered through the HRPA is the final required step for the CHRP designation. Entry Requirement


  • Applicant must have Higher Secondary Certificate or Standard XII with minimum 50% average and have studied Maths and English
  • Applicant must be high school passed.

Fleming College has not revised any dates for application due to the pandemic situation. However, they have switched to the online mode of application. 

    While applying for admission, the students can apply for accommodations in the Frost Campus or Sutherland Campus. Taking admission to courses at Fleming College requires some non-academic requirements. These are Immunization is required for some courses and Additional requirements like first aid, CPR, or criminal reference check are needed.
