1. The Graduation Story of Bianca Jeannot

One of the most inspiring stories of graduation, this is the story of Bianca Jeannot, aged 22. From the age of 4 to 10, Bianca was homeless. With her mother and two brothers, she moved from shelter to shelter. One of her brother needed dialyses everyday, and the other one had the down syndrome.

When she was 18, Bianca lost her mother. She was the head of the house with all the responsibilities of her and her brothers. But She did not give up on her studies. She studied at the college of New Rochelle, USA, along with three jobs at the same time to complete the graduation.

She graduated with 3.8 GPA and an honours degree. She maintains that her brothers were her motivation through the hard times.

2. Inspiring Story of Daniel Vaughn

Daniel Vaughn is not an ordinary Texas Southern University graduate. Law schools are always hard to go through, but doing it without having an eyesight is an achievement that seems next to impossible.

In 2010, Vaughn found out about the brain tumour and the doctors had to perform a surgery to remove it. Along with the tumour, Daniel lost his eyesight, too. Daniel went through six surgeries before graduating a year later at TSU, Texas Southern University.

His proud mother and girlfriend helped him through his studies, illness and the graduation ceremony.

3. Braydon Hester / Lisa Husley

Braydon Hester was a 20-year-old student from Mississippi, whose life was taken away in a terrible accident at Mardi Gras Parade. He had completed his diploma at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and unfortunately passed away before attending the ceremony.

Lisa Husley, his mother, took his photograph, graduation cap and gown and went to receive the diploma in place of him. It was a very hard, emotional moment for Lisa as she accepted it, and said, “This is very emotional day, but means so much to my son”.

Not only that, she is also pursuing Human Services Certificate, just as her son wanted to!

4. Trent Riley

For Seven long years, Trent Riley was not able to hear his mother and teachers properly. In his words, everybody just shouted or yelled at him.

He had lost three of his hearing aid when he was a kid, and his mother was not able to afford the adequate hearing aid anymore since almost no insurance company provides for the hearing aid.

It is hard to imagine, to sit in a class and study without proper hearing, but he went on. He was helped by Miracle Ear Foundation with the hearing aid, and was ecstatic to hear his mother again. After Graduation, he wants to attend a culinary school for the fall semester.

5. Ferris El-Tayyeb

Greenwich High School witnessed something very heart touching in April 2016, when a graduation ceremony was held in April instead of June. Ferris El-Tayyeb attended his diploma ceremony in Private at Greenwich High School.

The reason is something very grim, yet heart touching. Father of Ferris, Akram El-Tayyeb was suffering from a terminal gastro-intestinal cancer, and feared he would not live to see the scheduled ceremony.

When it was held earlier, he spoke at his son’s graduation ceremony, and it was a moment all the witnesses would remember for long.
