Almost all ABA, the American Bar Association approved law schools demand LSAT to be one of the essential components for admission in the field of law. They either accept LSAT or GRE score. If you are an aspirant to study law, you must go through the desired criteria or checklist of your desired institute and appear for LSAT. Another reason for appearing for this test is that, the ABA, which is the prime accreditation society for law schools in the US, is yet to finalize any rule regarding the use of GRE scores for law school admission.

What is LSAT?

It is the governing body for conducting the test. The Law School Admission Council or LSAC, as it is famously referred to conducts Law School Admission Test for the admissions to Law Schools in different countries like Canada, USA and many other. Examination pattern

This exam is conducted 4 times a year and that is in February, June, September or October and December respectively. Do note that the eligibility criteria is not set by the conducting body but by the colleges or universities. There is a particular fee for registration which is about 180 US dollar. Now suppose you have already registered for a particular date and center of the exam, but later on you decide to change one, you must pay another 100 US Dollar for rescheduling it.

Essential documents

An ID card and an admission print out ticket which is available through your account in LSAC are the essential documents needed for the exam. You must recheck if your first and last name on identity card and admission ticket are same or not.
