Every year, one freshman is named the "Mildred Arnold Scholar" and receives a scholarship of up to $4,000. The award is renewable for up to four years as long as the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.00. Only students who have applied by January 26, 2015 to Bradley University's Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and have completed and returned the Mildred Arnold Scholarship application receive full consideration for the program. As part of this scholarship, the Mildred Arnold Scholar begins an undergraduate research project with an appropriate faculty member in the department during his/her junior year.
This project will result in a scholarly paper to be presented to a peer-reviewed journal or national forum no later than during his/her final semester at Bradley.
Mildred Arnold, a 1932 alumna of Bradley University, was committed to furthering the philosophy of Family and Consumer Sciences and to scholarly activity.
