Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship

Minimum qualifications

• Top 50 percent of high school graduating class
• Composite ACT score of 27 or higher (or an SAT score of 1280 or higher for the new exam/1210 or higher pre-March 2016 exam)
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Non-Missouri resident
• Enrollment at MU the first semester after high school graduation
• First-time college student: non-resident

Non-ranking high schools

• Rank will not be considered from high schools listed as non-ranking. For students who have attended a high school that does not rank its students, admission and scholarship eligibility will be based on grade point average in required core classes in combination with standardized test scores.

Award amount

• Effective Fall 2014.  New criteria for students receiving the Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship for the first time Fall 2014.

• for students attending a non-ranking high school an equivalent core high school grade point average will be used to determine eligibility.
• The Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship will be canceled or reduced if nonresident tuition is waived or paid by another source.
