MAORI GRANTS

• AIS is delighted to announce the funding of 20 scholarships for applicants of MÄ�ori descent, for full-time studies towards diploma and degree qualifications at AIS.
• In launching the grants AIS President Dr Richard Goodall said “There is a real need for better higher learning outcomes in the MÄ�ori community, and our commitment will contribute to the Government’s objectives of enabling MÄ�ori school leavers and young adults to achieve higher qualifications relevant to the economic development needs of their communities in Auckland and nearby regionsâ€�.
• The scholarships are valued at 50% of tuition fees, and are worth from $1,920 each for undergraduate diplomas, graduate diplomas and bachelor degree programmes in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, International Business and Information Technology, and as much as $9,450 for postgraduate programmes in Business Administration, including MBA.
• The scholarships will be offered in 2015, and will continue for the second and third years of study in Level 6 Diploma and bachelor degree programmes, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
