Number offered 4 (subject to change)
Eligibility The Mackenzie King Scholarships were established as an independent trust under the will of the late Rt. Hon. William Mackenzie King (1874-1950).

Two classes of Mackenzie King Scholarship are available to graduates of Canadian universities: the Open Scholarship and the Travelling Scholarship. Both are to support graduate study.
You may apply for both The Mackenzie King Open Scholarship and the Mackenzie King Traveling Scholarship with a single application if the eligibility criteria are met for both.

The Mackenzie King Travelling Scholarship is open to graduates of any Canadian university who engage in (commence or continue) postgraduate study (master's or doctoral) in the United States or the United Kingdom, of international relations or industrial relations (including the international or industrial relations aspects of law, history, politics and economics). Applicants should be persons of outstanding worth and promise. The awards will be based on high academic achievements (all A's or very nearly so), personal qualities, and demonstrated aptitudes. Consideration will also be given to the applicant's proposed program of post-graduate study.
Apply

Candidates are required to submit their applications by the deadline directly to the Canadian university from which they have received (or will receive) their most recent degree (designated their "home" university). Supporting documentation is also to be sent to the same location.
Any applications sent to the UBC office will be forwarded to the home university and as a consequence may miss the deadline.

Nominations for the Travelling Scholarship are restricted to postgraduate study in the United States and the United Kingdom of international relations or industrial relations. Where there is doubt as to whether the program of study meets the criteria, the nomination should be submitted and the Board of Scholarship Trustees will make the final determination of eligibility.
