GJCM Surveys Encouragement Scholarship

• In 2018, USQ will offer one GJCM Surveys Encouragement Scholarship.
• GJCM Surveys is based in Townsville and is primarily involved in providing engineering survey services to large and small construction projects. Since 2009 GJCM Surveys has performed with high levels of pride and has made themselves a professional name for Surveying among their clients and peers.

Eligibility:

To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status
• commence their studies in an Associate Degree of Spatial Science majoring in Surveying, Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honors) majoring in Surveying, Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology majoring in Surveying in Semester 1, 2018 or
• continue their studies in an Associate Degree of Spatial Science majoring in Surveying, Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honors) majoring in Surveying, Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology majoring in Surveying in Semester 1, 2018
• be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 
• be studying on-campus, external or online.  

Selection criteria:

Applicants must:

• submit a personal statement (one page maximum) outlining: 
• a description of your educational aims and goals
• a description of your aspirations and career goals for the future
• provide evidence of academic achievement e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history, as applicable     
• if a commencing student – have a high level of academic achievement or minimum of a sound level of academic achievement (from outside USQ, e.g. school, TAFE) 
• if a continuing student – have a current Grade Point Average of at least 4.0.
