Elite Athlete Bursary

• USQ reserves the right to alter the conditions of the Scholarship/Bursary based upon exceptional circumstances. USQ reserves the right to not award the Scholarship/Bursary in a given year.

Eligibility
To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status
• be registered or have a registration in progress for the USQ Elite Athlete Program by commencement of Semester 1 2018
• commence or continue their studies in a bachelor's degree in Semester 1 2018
• undertake a minimum of four study units during the 2018 academic year 
• be studying on-campus, external or online.

Selection criteria

Applicants must:

• submit a personal statement describing:
• your sporting achievements, and sporting aims and goals
• your contribution to sport in your local community
• your contribution to sport at USQ (continuing student)

provide documentation supporting the personal statement, which can include:

• documentation from sporting authorities
• signed letters from coaches or managers
• membership to sporting institutions
• evidence of training/sporting commitments

provide evidence of:

• a minimum of sound level of academic achievement e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history (commencing student) or
• a current Grade Point Average of at least 4.0 (continuing student).
