Prospective full-time freshmen who demonstrate outstanding scholastic achievement at the secondary school level will be considered for academic scholarships of up to full tuition at the time of admission to the University. Award eligibility is contingent upon the timeliness of your application for admission, your high school academic record, test scores, resident/commuter status, and the availability of scholarship funds. Academic scholarships are awarded for four years providing that renewal criteria are met.
Awarded at up to $15,000 per academic year.
The typical profile of incoming freshmen who may qualify for this award is a class rank in the top half of their high school class with combined Critical Reading and Math SAT scores of 1140 (25 ACT) or higher.
Scholarship Guidelines:
Scholarships are renewable each academic year (up to an aggregate total of four years), provided you maintain full-time enrollment status, a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and satisfactory academic progress.
Students who do not meet the renewal criteria will forfeit the scholarship for the remainder of their enrollment at the University. The scholarship will not be reinstated should the student regain the required cumulative GPA at a later date.
Financial need is not a factor in determining eligibility for these scholarships.
An academic scholarship may not be combined with any other non-need based scholarship from the University, but may be combined with other funds to meet your demonstrated financial need.
Academic scholarships are awarded to citizens or permanent residents of the United States. For information about scholarships for international students, please refer to the International Student Prospectus.
Students enrolled in The Hartt School are ineligible for academic scholarships (See Talent Scholarships for more information regarding scholarships for Hartt School students).
