International Amigo Scholarship-Undergraduates

The International Amigo Scholarship entitles qualifying international students to a non-resident tuition waiver (value of more than $14,000 per year) provided a student meets renewal requirements.

Priority Deadline: January 15, 2018.

Eligibility : 
Undergraduates must have:

• The equivalent of a U.S. 3.5 upper secondary school (high school) grade point average (GPA) or a 3.25 college GPA (for a student who has completed the equivalent of 30 college credit hours) as determined by UNM or 26 ACT (1190 SAT) and 3.0 Unit GPA
• Admission to a full-time UNM degree program by the deadline
• Non-immigrant visa status (F1 or J1) status
• NO previous attendance in the current UNM program
• The Scholarship may be renewed annually for up to four years for freshman applicants and two years for transfer applicants provided the student maintains enrollment in 15 credit hours with a minimum 3.0 GPA each semester. A student who fails to meet the requirements loses the scholarship.
