High achiever scholarships

From September 2014, an automatic scholarship, worth £2,500 per annum is available to undergraduate students (excluding Medicine) achieving ABB or above (or equivalent) in their A Levels (excluding General Studies). The scholarship is dependent on you making Buckingham your firm UCAS choice, or making a firm acceptance of a direct offer of a place.The scholarship will be reviewed after the preliminary and subsequent examinations and will continue if your average mark is in the upper second or first class.

Entry requirements and procedure:

All awards are subject to your meeting the University’s academic entry requirements and abiding by the University’s rules and regulations. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you will need to have been offered a place to study at Buckingham. In the case of UCAS applications, if you are made an award you will need to select Buckingham as your firm acceptance choice.

These awards are made to new students only. Current students are not eligible to apply.

How to apply:

We will be considering January and April 2015 applicants from Monday 15 September. The deadline for submission is Friday 7 November.

The following scholarships have specific entry criteria and / or deadlines:

Coase Scholarships – Deadline for applications: Friday 2 May 2014.

The Paul E H Davis Awards – Deadline for applications: 31 October 2014 for exhibitions & flexible for the research scholarship.
