President's Scholarship

The President's Scholarship recipients will be chosen from the pool of resident high school seniors. Selection is based on academic excellence.

The value of the President's Scholarship will total approximately $35,000 (which includes a resident tuition waiver, mandatory fees, plus the choice of an on-campus housing award or a cash award), for a maximum of 8 semesters or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first. Tuition and mandatory fees up to and including 18 hours per semester are covered. Recipients are required to enroll for a minimum of 12 hours per semester.

Application Information: Eligible students must adhere to the priority admission date of December 1. No further application is required. Only applicants, who have completed the admissions process by December 1, by having submitted all required documents, will be considered for the resident President's Scholarship selection process.

Terms: Renewable - Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 and complete 24 hours of course work (20 of which must be graded) every two semesters. (Recipients awarded prior to 2011/2012 are expected to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 as indicated in their original award letters.) Grades are reviewed after the second, fourth, and sixth semester.
Deadline: Complete admissions process by December 1.
Other Requirements: Merit scholarship consideration will be based on the ACT/SAT test score with which students are admitted. Results from tests taken after the official October test date, initial or retakes, will not be taken into consideration for scholarship eligibility.
