Freshmen Academic Scholarship

Eligibility: Students are eligible if their most recent education is high school or equivalent. Scholarship level is based on interim or final admissions evaluation. Students must enroll in full-time studies (at least 12 semester hours per semester).

Application: Eligible new students will be automatically awarded an academic scholarship when admitted to the university.

Renewal: Returning students must apply for academic scholarships each year, no later than the first day of classes.  A cumulative GPA of 3.5 must be maintained to renew President's Scholarship, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 must be maintained to renew Provost's Scholarship, and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 must be maintained to renew Dean's Scholarship. Students are eligible for scholarships beyond their fourth year if necessary.

Semester Hour Scale: The amounts above are based on a full course load (15 semester hours). If a student enrolls in 80% (12 semester hours) of a full course load, then the student will be eligible for 80% of their academic scholarship.
