Best Wilson Buckley Family Law Scholarship

• In 2015, USQ will offer one Best Wilson Buckley Family Law Scholarship.
• Best Wilson Family Law opened for business on 2 November 2009 with a new approach to providing family law services in Toowoomba. They recently joined partnership with Buckley; now named Best Wilson Buckley Family Law. For the first time in Toowoomba people with family related legal issues can benefit from the services of a firm which practices exclusively in this area. Every member of their team has chosen Family Law as their area of practice and is committed to providing the best possible service.

Value 

• The scholarship will have a maximum value of $5,000.
• The successful applicant may be offered professional work experience in the year of the award, as mutually arranged.

Eligibility 

To be eligible applicants must:

• be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status 
• continue their studies in a Bachelor of Law in Semester 1, 2015
• have completed a minimum of 8 USQ courses 
• be residing in the Toowoomba region
• be enrolled in a minimum of 2 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2 
• be studying on-campus or on-line.

Selection criteria 

Applicants will:

•  submit a personal statement indicating:
• a description of their career aims and goals and interest in a Family Law career 
• how the Scholarship will assist them to achieve their future career plans 
• have a high level of academic achievement with a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0
• demonstrate any involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community.
