    • Occasionally a strong career trajectory and/or professional qualifications are also accepted

    Work experience: 2years

    • Applicants must have at least two or more years of work experience in finance or a closely related field (such as corporate law, finance journalism or IT in a financial institution)
    • Candidates will need to have experienced enough financial transactions to be able to contribute to cases discussed in class
    • Applicants working in IT will need to show significant exposure to finance-related products
    • Most students have 3 to 6 years of relevant finance experience

    Prepare documents for application

    LOR:

    • Submit Names and details of two referees
    • Of the two references, at least one must be a work reference (typically from a current or previous employer, a colleague, a long-standing client or someone else who knows student well in a work context)
    • Most students will choose a work referee for the second reference
    • It can also be an academic reference (from someone who taught student at university or college) as long as the referee has followed career progression closely since completing their studies
    • If the referee is only commenting on the academic performance then the reference will add little value
    • It is not a requirement that student give their current boss as the referee

    ESSAY:

    Applicants need to write an essay on the following topics:

    • What are your career objectives and what steps are you taking to achieve them? What alternatives are you considering? What geographical region do you hope to work in? (maximum 500 words)
    • What are specific areas of London Business School life you most excited about getting involved in and where do you believe you will add value to the School Community? (maximum 300 words)

    • Submit CV
    • A well-presented CV adds weight to student's application
    • If student have any significant gaps in their employment history, please tell the school why on a separate sheet
