Management and Economics - Bachelor of Science (BSc)
How do you assess the economic appeal of a business idea? What accounting standards are balances based on? Which management competencies characterize a successful enterprise? Which macroeconomic changes do businesses need to consider in the future? How do people behave in decision-making scenarios? This is just a small excerpt from the spectrum of questions that Management and Economics look at. Advancing globalization and increasing use of information and communication technologies as well as rapidly progressing technological developments cause a growing demand for qualified specialists with high economical competencies.

The Management and Economics bachelor’s program at Ulm University is mainly quantitatively oriented.
The pathway provides a well-rounded education on the basis of complementary learning units in the core subjects of Business Management/Administration and Macroeconomics as well as the neighboring disciplines of Mathematics, Informatics, Business Law, and languages. A complementary offer is the transferable skills courses like language courses, philosophy and ethics seminars, or rhetoric courses. From the fourth semester on, students can emphasize certain areas of interest by choosing a specialization.

In addition to knowledge of facts and decision-making rules, which are needed to solve economical questions, another important goal of the study concept in Ulm is to teach the skill of 'economic thinking', i.e. to analyze decision-making scenarios, consider possible solutions and derive recommendations.
Ulm University is one of the notable public universities offering 62 programs, located in Germany. It ranks consistently in the top 10 by Times Higher Education. It offers 23 UG courses, 38 PG courses, and one research program. About 10,284 students are studying in over 60 programs. 22% of students have completed their research programs in various programs.
