Computer science is all about supporting communication and work processes of all kinds interactively by computer. In the computer science course, basic principles, methods and tools for the design, development and operation of computer-integrated systems are taught. Because of the complexity of the problems today, users and
developers usually work closely together as a team in order to achieve a high level of usability of a software system in its context of use. Information, human language and communication are therefore just as important basic terms in computer science as mathematics, formal languages or software technology.
The compulsory elective areas offer an individual professional orientation, e.g. on current IT topics. Throughout the course, the internship components in the compulsory subjects, the computer science project and, in particular, the internship semester strive for a close network of theory and practice.
