The Psychology program prepares the student for independent professional practice in important fields of psychology, such as Occupational, Organizational and Industrial Psychology, Diagnostics, Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Neuroscientific Psychology, and Child and Adolescent Psychology.
Building on an eight-semester bachelor's program, the two-semester master's program in Psychology provides expanded competencies in the scientific processing of psychological problems and independent work in central professional fields of psychology. You will choose one of several fields of application as a major topic.
Furthermore, you will acquire knowledge and skills in a second field of application, and in psychological assessment. In combination with the prior bachelor's training, the program fulfills the access prerequisites for advanced programs and continuing education programs, such as post-graduate psychotherapy training.

The master's examination represents a second professionally qualifying degree in the study of Psychology, which is particularly suited for independent work in applied and scientific fields.
In combination with the prior bachelor's training, the program fulfills the access prerequisites for advanced programs and continuing education programs (e.g. post-graduate psychotherapy training).
Required university degree | Certification of a degree from the specific bachelor's program "Psychology" or certification of a comparable domestic or foreign qualifying university degree. The professionally qualifying bachelor's degree or comparable university degree must comprise at least 240 credit points (ECTS) or a program with a length of 8 semesters or 4 years and have been successfully completed with an overall grade of at least "satisfactory" (grade 3.0 or 7,9 grade points). The psychological component of the program content must be at least 60% and the following content must be a part of the program:
