  • Neurosciences (Master)

  • How does the brain work? Significant progress has been made in the field of cellular and molecular neuroscience. Modern in vivo techniques have revolutionized non-invasive observation of brain activity even in humans. Today’s challenge lies in understanding the brain as a complex and functioning system. This new master program in Neurosciences is supported by the Elite Network of Bavaria and embedded in the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences, which provides state-of-the-art training with nationally and internationally renowned professors. Key focus areas include systemic neurosciences, molecular and cellular neurosciences, computational neuroscience, and neurophilosophy. Modular seminars in secondary skills such as scientific writing, presentation skills, and time management supplement the core curriculum and help to prepare students optimally for their future career goals.

  • The first year of the program aims to mediate basic knowledge in the main areas of systemic neurosciences: systemic neurobiology, molecular and cellular neurobiology, sensory physiology, computational neuroscience, and neurophilosophy
  • The second year of the master's program aims to deepen and expand the knowledge of systemic neurosciences gained in the first year

  • Applicant must have a bachelor degree.

  • Students must hold an appropriate degree in biology, medical sciences, engineering, physics, bioinformatics, computer sciences, psychology, philosophy or other related fields
