  • University of Alberta Faculty of Nursing provides full time postgraduate degree program Master of Nursing which can be completed within a 2 ½ year period. The maximum time for completion is 4 years for thesis and 6 years for course-base program.

    The MN program aims to prepare graduates to:

    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in advanced nursing practice
    • Think critically, and to act with scientific integrity in scholarly endeavors
    • Facilitate the learning process and participate in activities that influence health and healthcare policy
    • Understand the interaction of the nursing profession with social, political, economic, and historical forces

Entry Requirement

  • Applicant have completed his degree in Nursing with a GPA of 3.0 on scale of 4.0,Applicant must have studied one undergraduate course in statistics and one in research methods with a final grade of B or higher,Applicants must have first class standing and Division; 7 out of 10, Applicant must have atleast one year of experience in clinical nursing

Application Process

  • tudents must have completed a bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Students must have one undergraduate course in statistics and one in research methods with a final grade of B or higher in each.
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 [B Grade] over their last two years or 60-credits of full-time study.  
  • Students are required to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or institute.
  • Students will need to submit school results for Class XI showing a competitive average and course registration for Class XII, or Class XII mid-year results.
  • Students in CBSE or CISCE schools, they present 75%+ on their final Class XII exams.
