  • Master of Laws

  • Applicants are normally required to have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree, or its academic equivalent, from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta.
  • An admission grade point average of ‘3’ in number grading systems or ‘B’ in letter grading systems, based on students most recent two years of full time study is required.

  • University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law provides 1 year postgraduate program in LLM which provides students with an opportunity to study a particular area of law in much greater depth than is possible in the LLB program.

    There are two programs available to students admitted to the LLM program: the 1) thesis-based LLM or the 2) course-based LLM.
