  • VIDEO GAME DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

  • From concept through to production, you will learn the entire game creation process from a faculty of active creators with games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Asteroids, GTA 4 and Max Payne 3 to their credit. In environments replicating the industry, you will explore all areas of video game design and programming for mobile, PC, web and console. You will get a deeper understanding of programming, game design, interface development, production, audio and sound, as well as business plans and commercial strategies. You will graduate with a diverse portfolio of video games that showcase your industry-ready skills.
  • YOUR DEGREE PATHWAY

  • Maximize your potential in the Video Game industry with a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from Yorkville University--a unique degree completion program that requires prior completion of an acceptable post-secondary diploma in the creative arts. Our articulation agreement with Yorkville University lets you complete your Bachelor of Creative Arts degree in as few as 15 months while working, and helps you to develop advanced leadership skills for programming gameplay, managing projects and productions, and more.
  • WHAT SETS
    THE PROGRAM APART

    INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You’ll own everything that you create, from art to scripts and games. You’ll have the opportunity to release your games even before you graduate and keep 100% of the profits.

    CROSS COLLABORATION

Collaborating with students across creative programs, you’ll experience the real world working environment of cross-industry teams. You’ll produce mid-large scale games with peer designers and programmers. You’ll also produce video game concepts with writing students and voiceovers with acting students.

    REAL WORLD EDUCATION

Working with hand-on projects in industry-modeled teams, you’ll build a professional portfolio of medium-large scale video games that will set you apart in the job market. Using the latest technology and software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Unity 3D, Unreal Engine 4 and others.

    INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS

In small classes, you’ll be mentored by practicing video game designers who are actively connected to the industry. They offer students the most current industry insights and best practices, as well as invaluable networking opportunities.

    ACCELERATED LEARNING

Through hands-on learning and industry-oriented projects, you’ll develop the skills to develop industry standard video games in just 18 months.
