French Proficiency International Students
As a part of their admission process, non-Francophone applicants (someone whose education was in a language other than French) must take a French proficiency test - Test de français international (TFI).
The minimally required level of French proficiency varies from program to program. The TFI scores will determine whether the applicant is required to take French language classes in addition to other qualifying courses. The university offers French-language services to its students.

Laval University offers dozens of graduate courses. The specific requirements vary for each program.
