France has long been one of the most preferred study abroad destinations for the Indian students for many reasons. French Embassy Scholarships:

The Franco-Indian education Trust was established by the embassy to offer French scholarships for Indian students in 2017 and it was inaugurated last year in the first Indo-French Knowledge Summit. The trust offers nearly 50 scholarships to Indian students. Every year, the amount offered to Indian students by these scholarships reach up to 1 million euros, or 7 Crore Indian Rupees. Study in France for Indian Students:

Last year, during the Indo-France Knowledge Summit, the French Prime Minister visited India for the first time. Earlier this year, the Indian Prime Minister visited France. The intent of both the meetings were to strengthen the educational and political ties between the two countries. France wants to have 10000 Indian students studying in France by 2020 and even in 2019, the number was nearly achieved. The number of 20000 Indian students is also set for the year 2025. Apart from these, there are scholarships offered by universities and other private organisations, too. Some of the scholarships not only help international students with the tuition fees, but also some of the living and accommodation costs that come with studying in France. How to Apply for a French Scholarship?

If you want to be one of those fortunate students and apply for French scholarships for Indian students successfully, you need to apply for one of them. Most of them should be applied to, via their separate websites and webpages. For the universities that offer the scholarships themselves will guide you if you are willing to apply to that. 

The scholarships can be need based or merit based where there are some eligibility criteria one needs to fulfil. There are many universities that offer early bird scholarships for those who apply before a specific deadline.

The next step would be documentation and validation of the student. If you are eligible for the scholarships and other requirements are also fulfilled, you will be notified by the scholarship providing entity. Students are advised to apply for the scholarships as soon as they decide, as the process can be time consuming and it should be done before they apply for the French student visa.
