SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) 2017 is going to be held on 17th December, 2017. It is an important exam for MBA applicants who want to take admission in symbiosis and 14 other associated schools organized by Symbiosis International Unit (SIU). Final merit list will be based on 4 factors SNAP marks, Group discussion, Writing Ability Test and personal Interview.

First stepping stone is SNAP exam which comprises of 50 marks in overall mark sheet. So without wasting time let’s clear the exam pattern first.

Registration has already started from 10th October, 2017 and will end on 24th November, 2017.  Registration fees are 1750 RS. SNAP is divided in 4 sections. They are

  • General Awareness
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning
  • General English
  • Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency

It is an online exam. It comprises of 150 questions along with 150 marks which need to be completed within 120 minutes.

Okay so for each correct answer, 1 mark will be rewarded and for each wrong answer 0.25 will be deducted from the total marks. Number of Questions in General Awareness are 30 while in Analytical and logical Reasoning, General English and Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency sections comprises of 40 Questions. 

SNAP 2017 will be conducted in 32 cities of India and students are advised to download the admit cards in the beginning of December month. It is expected that result will be released in the month of January and students can download their score cards from its official website. There will be three more rounds after SNAP exam which student has to clear if he/she is shortlisted in SNAP exam.

Then comes GD, P.I and WAT which comprises of 10, 30, 10 marks respectively. Students who will clear all these rounds will be shortlisted for admission in SYMBIOSIS.

After analyzing previous year question paper we say following things about each section:

General English

The difficulty level of this section was easy. This section comprised of 2 RCs and they were quite lengthy so candidate should inculcate practice of reading lengthy RCs. Some questions on Synonyms, analogies, phrases, antonyms, idioms etc were there.

Quantitative Aptitude

Questions from Geometry, Algebra, Arithmetic and mensuration were asked. Difficult level was moderate.

Logical and Analytical Reasoning

Difficult level was difficult in previous year exam. Questions asked were from Clocks, calendars, Blood relations etc.

General Awareness

Questions asked were from Static G.K and General Awareness. To score well in this section, students should read newspaper daily.

The "Applied Learning Scholarship (2016/17 School Year)" ("the Scholarship") is co-organised by the Law’s Charitable Foundation (LCF) and the Education Bureau (EDB) to show our appreciation to students who demonstrated positive learning attitude and achieved good progress in their study of Applied Learning (ApL) courses in the 2016/17 school year.
